IGCSE School

 

Machabeng Secondary 4 - 5 (S4-S5) follow The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum. They are equivalent to Years 10 and 11 (UK), Grades 9 and 10 (USA), Forms D and E (Lesotho) and Standards 8 and 9 (RSA).

All students study eight examination subjects plus Physical Education:

The core subjects offered at Machabeng consist of English (Language and Literature), Mathematics, French and Sesotho. Plus a student can choose four additional subjects from the following - Biology, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Art, Accounting, Computer Studies and Theatre Arts.

Please note that Physical education is now also offered as an IGCSE examination subject.
